About Treasures By Sandra

Step 1: Inventory and Photos

I have set up Facebook page, Twitter account, and Instagram accounts and cross linked everything so an update on one platform SHOULD in THEORY update on the others. At this point I feel I need to mention that I am an archaeologist. I specialize in studying ancient technology. The new stuff, well, let’s just say that I find it challenging. The true test on how I have done will be today as I upload new photos and notices and see how the updates work.

Setting up a business is a bit daunting. What do you do first? Set up your store? build a backlog of inventory? Get a business license? Trying to get a business set up without spending lots of money can be an additional challenge! Raw materials, promotional support, graphics, equipment… the list goes on and on. The following is what I have accomplished to-date.

I have also set up a store on Etsy. You can find it there by searching in the Etsy search bar for TreasuresbySandraUS. One problem – when I search for therapeutic hot packs, mine do not come up on the search for many pages. I need to figure out how to promote mine to the top of the list.

And last night I really got down to business! I created re-usable templates for the various pieces of the bags. I don’t currently own a serger sewing machine, but had a friend who is a professional seamstress bring hers over to work with and to help me narrow down the choices on the market to find a good one. Check out the photos!
